I am all about some sex magick, but not that into this book. The information shared is worthy content but the delivery is not desirable. Even my favorite part of the book, the basic breakdown of how to, did not really spark any joy in me. This book has some valuable information and cool chants but feels like an unnecessary book purchase. I have another book By Damon Brand and had the same feeling/vibe about that book too. It is possible that his writing style is just not my cup of tea, but here and now I am not recommending buying this book, you could barrow it from a library.
More Importantly, If you are looking to start a Sex Magick Practice…..I highly recommend it. Below is what I have curated @InfinityCoven & @GreenWitchOfWillowGlen
6 steps to a successful sex magick practice:
1.) Pick a Goal - prior to sexual activity, determine what the desired end outcome or result is. You must have an understanding of what the pathway is to the goals result and it must be an achievable result.
2.) Think about the Goal - prior to sexual activity, think about the result to the goal and imagine it as if you have already reached it. Imagine being grateful for the results being achieved.
3.) Enjoy the Sex - during sexual activity, live in the moment. Do not put pressure on yourself to achieve a magickal outcome, just feel the pleasurable energy fill you up.
4.) Orgasm - when you climate, visualize the end goal being achieved, like you did in step 2. You can use a visual or chant to represent your goal and desire.
5.) Feel it & Believe it - after climax, take the time to visualize the goal as it already happened and be grateful it. Truly believe that the magick you have made here will bring you your results desired.
6.) Let it go - after sexual activity, let it go. Think of this as an act of believing in your magick energy. If what you did here was enough to make it happen, then you have done your work and now it is time to move on and live life without any worries.
You can repeat these steps every time or on special occasions. This has been spoken of as some of the most powerful magick you can do, alone or with a partner.
Adding Partners to Sex Magick
You can go a long way in a personal sex magick practice, but adding a partner can give you both a boost. There are several ways to develop a sex magick practice with your partner. You can both work towards a common goal together or you can have your partner transfer their energy to you.
When you both consent to a common magickal goal you can feel the energy growing in your shared purpose as you work towards climax. You can visualize or vocalize your goal during climax. If you vocalize, be sure to have a short phrase or one all encompassing word with meaning to you that you will both remember. If you plan to visualize, be sure to practice visualizing an image that represents the achievement of the goal so you will be ready to hold it in your mind through climax.
If you want to have your partner transfer their energy to you, there needs to be consent and conversation about if before. The one taking the energy will channel it and use it through vocalization and/or visualization in climax. To give up the energy you need to visualize that you are letting this energy willingly leave you and go to your partner. You can add in vocals as well.
When talking to your partner(s) about starting a sex magick practice. Be sure to be kind, set and keep boundaries, have consent and communicate truthfully about your experience before, during and after to create a successful ritual practice.
Level up your Sex Magick
Once you have the basics of sex magick down, which are highly effective as is, you can layer in things to enhance the experience and create even more intentional magick.
1.) Color Magick - using colors in your magick can help you visualize your desires. Color is an energetic field and our chakras can become energized when we use them. Add some color magick to your sex magick; wearing a specific color lingerie, colored sheets, wearing colorful nail polish or makeup and incorporating toys or wax of a specific color.
2.) Sigil Magick - using sigils in your magick can help to bind an intention. Sigils are created by the user for a specific intention and thus they hold a lot of power. Add some sigils to your sex magick; draw them on yourself or partner with anointing oil, draw them on sheets and/or clothing, carve them into candles creating a mood and draw them on toys you are incorporating.
3.) Using Toys - adding toys to sex magick can make it more fun and exciting, alone or with partner(s). There are some ways to up the magick with your toys; charge them in the moon or sun, cleansing and protection magick on them, anointing with oils (be safe when you use oils inside your body) and yoni eggs which come in different stones so you can match their vibe to your desires.
