Invoking the Elements is a sacred ritual practice during ceremonies. It is believed that once you have called the elements they will attend to you.
Place a representation of the elements on your altar.
Commonly used are candles with corresponding colors; red for fire, green for earth, yellow for air and blue for water. You can also use tools to represent the elements; bowl of sand, dirt or salt for earth, cup of water for water, candle for fire, incense for air. When you invoke the elements they become a part of your ritual, they are embodied by the items you choose to represent them.
